Steel Components:

Hull Bottom ¼” Plate except for the last 8’ above the props and rudders which is 5/16” Plate

Side Shell         ¼” Plate/  4” Half Pipe Rub Rail/ 1” Thick Round Bar for Chine/ 3/8” Thick Radius Corners topped with rubber mounted to ½” thick Plate

Bulwarks           ¼” Side Plate/ 3/8” x 2” Cap/ Gussets from 3/8” Plate every frame

                           The bulwarks are 12” high on the sides and 18” high between the push

                           Knees with a 4” pipe cap on it

Main Deck         Made from ¼” thick Plate

Keels  Qty.  (4)  Two main keels are made from ½” Plate x 12” high from transom to head log.  In the engine room it is capped with a ¾” x 6” Flat Bar

Framing made from 4” x 3” x ¼” angle with 3/8” thick gussets.

Water Tight bulkheads (3) made from ¼” Plate with 4” x 3” x ¼” stiffners

Fuel Tank has an 18” clean out hatch and is made of ¼” plate.  A 2” thick x 30” high steel sight glass is attached in the engine room to see fuel level.  Fuel tank will have a drain port.  Two supply lines and two return lines all made from ¾” pipe.

V-Struts   for prop shafts are made from 10” x ¾” Flat Bar and the V-Struts are made from 5 ½” thick Mechanical steel tubing with ¾” thick walls.  They are welded to a ½” thick doubler attached to the hull.

Stern Tubes are made from 4 ½” Mechanical tubing with ¾” thick walls,  (3) sets of cutlass bearings are in the rudder tubes for rudder support.  They have a 3/8” thick doubler on the bottom of the hull and a 1” thick  doubler on the main deck

Rudders are made from ½” Plate with 3/8” side supports.  Rudder Shaft is 2 ½” Steel

Head Log is made from 3/8” Plate and has ½” thick steel molded to rubber pushknees on top of it.

Push Knees:  3/8” plate Head Log Front, Sides, Back and top are  all ¼” Plate.  The bottom of the push knees are also 3/8” Plate.  The 9’ of molded rubber is attached to ½” plate that is welded to the front of the push knees making it 7/8” Thick over all.

Cabin Structures are made from 3/16” Plate, 3” x 2” x 3/16” angle and 4” x 3” x ¼” angle

Pilot House is made of 3/16” Plate and made from 2” x 2” x 3/16” Angle  Pilot house dash is made of 3/16” Steel

Rudder Tiller Arms are 1” thick and the removable block attached to the shaft is 4” x 6” x 4” thick Steel cut and notched for the shaft.  They are sitting on a 1” thick doubler to the main deck with a ¾” thick bushing and another 1” thick plate washer on top of it.  Tiller arms are protected by an expanded metal grating that can be removed.

Main Tow bitts :  Are constructed from 6” Sch 80 Pipe with a 2 ½” solid bar running through them.  They are welded to a 3/8” thick doubler plate to the inside bottom of the hull and then another doubler plate where they come through the main deck.

Tow bitts:  Made from 4” sch 40 Pipe and have a 3/8” thick doubler plate attached to the main deck.  A 1” Rod is also welded through the pipe.

Vents are candy cane style made from 2  ½” sch 40 pipe and there is one for each void space except the engine room which has a larger vent trunk and the fuel tank which has a 3” Pipe Candy Cane vent.

Engine Room Hatch Cover is completely removable and made of 3/16” Plate and ¼” plate.  It stands 30” high above the main deck.

Coatings:  All Steel with the excepting of the inside of the fuel tank and the keel coolers will get a shop primer and then a coating of 235 Dura plate White epoxy on all sides.  The hull gets an additional top coat of 235 Dura Plate Black Epoxy.  The engine room and cabin areas get a top coat of 218 Akrylon for color and white areas.  The deck will also get an American Safety Product Anti Skid on the decks and the stair surface areas.

Electrical Wiring:  Most of the vessel’s electrical system will be wired using marine armor cable  14 Ga.  Welding Cable is used for most battery connections

Welding: 

       Hull Seams: are all full penetration welds

       Items exterior of the vessel are seal welded continuously.

       Keel Structures are continuous on all sides

       Bulk Head are continuous on all sides

       Stiffners or angles are welded using a 3” on 12” stagger pattern with 6” continuous wraps on the end. 

       Gussets are continuously welded on all sides.

Build Time   Eight to Ten Weeks Preferred
